Fashion, fast cars, broken bones & unforgettable stories

Summer 2025 took things to another level.

New cities. Bigger productions.
This year, VRTU Studios hit Europe again — documenting luxury hotels, fashion editorials, and the birth of a new clothing brand — all while turning the continent into a rolling production studio.

And yeah… this one came with a few plot twists.

Milan

Where it all began (again)

We kicked off the tour in Milan for Milano Unica, one of the most important fashion conventions in the world. This wasn’t just coverage — we were documenting the creation of a brand-new clothing label:

NMBRD

A full week in Milan:
• factory visits
• design meetings
• sourcing fabrics
• brand strategy
• fashion editorial shoot

Milan was pure work mode… until it wasn’t.

During one of our shoots, we were robbed.
Gear stolen.
High-speed chase through the city.
Police involved.

Wildest moment of the trip.

And somehow… we got everything back.

Welcome to Milan.

Lake Como

Editorial dreams

A few days later, we took the whole team to Lake Como and shot a full-day fashion editorial for Flonelle Magazine.

Old villas.
Stone staircases.
Sun bouncing off the lake.
That cinematic Italian energy you can’t fake.

One of our favorite shoots to date.

Rome

Fashion in the Eternal City

From Milan, we headed south to Rome for a week.

We produced a fashion editorial at The HT6 Hotel Rome — blending elegant styling with ancient architecture. Morning shoots. Late dinners. Long walks through the city. Rome hits different when you slow down.

Monaco

Luxury overload

Next stop: Monaco.

We shot at the iconic Hôtel Hermitage in collaboration with Haute Living Magazine and stayed at the Fairmont Monte Carlo.

Supercars. Yachts. Sunset terraces. A million dollar fireworks show over Port Hercule.
This place feels like a movie set.

Back to Lake Como

Cars & boats

We returned to Lake Como for another production — this time shooting for Il Sereno Hotel.

Highlights:
• driving Alfa Romeos along the lake
• Riva boat shoots
• cinematic drone shots
• luxury lifestyle content

Absolute dream assignment.

London

Short stop

We made a quick three-day stop in London, staying at Hotel Indigo. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans — rain, clouds, no light.

So we pivoted.

Engelberg, Switzerland

Where things got real

We headed to Engelberg to shoot for our friends at Kempinski Palace Engelberg.

Everything was going perfectly… until it wasn’t.

While filming black diamond mountain biking runs, Ryan Hattaway went over the handlebars and slammed into rocks.

Pain.
Shock.
Adrenaline.

Turns out his clavicle was fractured — he just wouldn’t find out for two more weeks.

Through the pain, we:
• shot the entire hotel experience
• captured spa days
• rooftop pools
• saunas
• alpine drone footage

The show went on.

Frutt Mountain Resort

More clouds, more spas

Next stop: Frutt Mountain Resort for three more days of production.

Cloud-level views.
Alpine lakes.
Cows.
Spa days.
Bowling & Cinema rooms.

Honestly… we didn’t want to leave.

Zurich

Perfect ending

The trip wrapped in Zurich — and by chance, the entire city was celebrating their massive Street Festival- the world’s largest outdoor music festival.

Music.
Crowds.
Energy.

We captured everything — injured and exhausted — and it was still one of the best days of the trip.

Perfect ending.
